This entry level course offers participants an introduction to the world of theatrical costume construction. Students learn a variety of costume construction and basic pattern techniques culminating in the creation of a drawstring bag, a Renaissance beret, and pajama pants, a skirt, or a vest!
This challenging course introduces students to the basic techniques required to create costumes and costume patterns for theatrical use. Upon completion of this course, students will have an understanding of creating basic slopers, dart and style line manipulation, collar styles, sleeves, skirts, and even pants!
This course explores the qualities of different textiles, with a focus on innovative textile materials used in Costume Craft construction. Learn how to dye fabric, make your own screen print, paint silk, distress costumes, create a custom face mold, construct masks, hats, and headdresses!
